First post....

... just to help me whilst I'm sorting the layout of this blog.

In these austere times it is not always possible or practical to replace a broken thing, or pay someone else to fix it. Well, that's my opinion, anyway. With that in mind, and with an ever increasing tool kit, I'm finding that I'm fixing or adapting more and more of my stuff. Don't get me wrong, I'm not doing anything sexy or cool but I am saving money by doing it myself. You might just find a tip or idea on here that helps you save money too.

Alas, in these litigious times, I should also say that nothing on this site should be taken as a recommendation or invitation that you do anything at all, or that by copying something I've done will save you money and won't injure or kill you . In fact, I strongly recommend that you don't copy anything that appears on this site....
